Who is L. S. King
L. S. King has published four novels, Deuces Wild: Beginners' Luck, Deuces Wild: Stacking the Deck, Sword's Edge, and Children of the Enaisi. Unlikely Prophet, a prequel in the Sword's Edge Chronicles, is slated for publication in the spring.
Besides having short stories published in Deep Magic, The Sword Review, Dragons, Knights & Angels, Digital Dragon Magazine, and Residential Aliens (the fact that several of the publications which have released her stories are now defunct has nothing to do with her - honest), she also authored a column for writers, teaches fiction writing online as well as hosts a Teen Authors Group at the Kent County Public Library, has worked as a submissions editor and a copy editor on several magazines, and was founding editor of the semi-pro online magazine Ray Gun Revival, currently on hiatus.
A science fiction fan since she was a wee babe, she cut her teeth on Twilight Zone and Outer Limits. She cosplayed before it had a name, creating her own alien outfits back when folks didnít even know what a Trekkie was, and writing fanfic on everything from Batman to Dark Shadows to Star Trek to X-Men and Avengers.
As a child, L.S. began studying the martial arts, eventually earning the rank of master. Other items in her eclectic background are working in an electronics store, as a journalist, a school bus driver, in a radio station, and as a gymnastics coach. She also homeschooled all four of her children.
When on the planet, this mother and grandmother enjoys gardening, soap making, reading, and online gaming. She also likes Looney Tunes, the color purple, and is a Zorro aficionado, which might explain her love of swords and cloaks.
